More Than a Ring

This is so much more than just a ring. When Luke and I got married last August, we didn't exchange rings but planned to do so at the big wedding we had in mind for this October. I never wanted an engagement ring and we never considered ourselves engaged, even though we had been talking about getting married for years, but I was looking forward to us both wearing wedding bands. This ring was made for me by our dear and talented friend Alissa. The inner band contains some of Luke's ashes set in resin. Engraved inside are the date we met and the date Luke died: June 18, 2011 - September 11, 2018. I am still a little speechless looking at it and I'm so glad to have received it just before my travels.
